About Michael and Peggy

Our backgrounds and history, provide framework for what we are today and what we uniquely offer to you as a real estate buyer or seller.

Both born in the Midwest in rural settings, we met at College in LaCrosse, WI, and have been married forty years. We are proud parents of two accomplished sons and actively involved grandparents of four, all born in a four year span.  Michael became a banker after college and Peggy a Surgical Nurse.

Here is where the story matters to you. In 1990, we started a property home care business, House Check, Inc. We manage vacation/second homes exclusively, in SE Wisconsin and primarily around Geneva Lake. That means we are actively involved with the day to day operation of some of the finest properties (plus more modest as well) on Geneva Lake, as well as neighboring lakes, and are in regular contact with the owners.

We are very familiar with all things lake related such as specific neighborhoods, lake associations, boat slips, piers, lake access, water quality and clarity, in/out boat services, marinas. We know how it all works individually and together. If you are looking to buy or sell on or around Geneva lake, we are uniquely qualified to assist.  We are well versed in the entire area actually having assisted many folks on other lakes as well as in town or in the country. Our goal is always to provide a totally satisfactory experience for buyers and sellers.
